Mom Tip: Find the Shortcuts As much as I like taking the long, scenic route when time allows, there’s nothing quite as sweet as finding that back-road route that cuts out Route 1, West Chester Pike, MacDade Blvd, and Baltimore Pike. I know it seems like an impossible feat, but I have done it. There’s nothing like being able to cut out 5 traffic lights, 10 minutes, and loads of frustration! There are all sorts of shortcuts I’ve figured out these last few years in Delco. The latest is a lovely financial shortcut called, “Parents Night Out” Did you know that some organizations, including Karate studio will watch your kids for up to 3 hours for as little as $10 on a Friday night? That’s precious time for my hubby and I to enjoy a meal out and a full conversation for the first time in a month. My new favorite shortcut for game days is the Pulled Pork Barbecue at Swiss Farms. As much as I enjoy a good slow roast, in this case, Swiss is doing the slow work for me. Who has the time to slow-roast anything anymore, anyways? Life needs shortcuts. We don’t always have time to give everything our 100% attention. Sure, we’d like to enjoy every activity to its fullest, but some tasks just need to get done. Have any shortcuts been a life-saver to you? Post it here and “pay it forward” so we can all benefit!
