Mom and I were driving out of the parking lot entrance of Walmart - TopicsExpress

Mom and I were driving out of the parking lot entrance of Walmart on Floyd when we saw a girl standing at the corner of the entrance with a sign that read homeless, traveling and broke. Anything helps. I muttered something about hating that I had no cash on hand to give her so we pulled into sonic and I got out and ran up to her and asked her if she was hungry. She said yes so I told her to come over and wed buy her a meal. She ordered and while we waited I found out that she just hopped off a train from Texas and before that she was in Florida. We chatted about some other things, like where she was from- etc, while we waited. It was nice to help someone out who needed the help. She was a sweet girl and had to be around my age a little older maybe. It felt good because I know how being broke goes, not necessarily homeless, but when you need that extra help- its appreciated x10 when someone goes the extra mile to help you out. I hope she pays it forward someday too.
