Mom had big improvements yesterday, she can string short sentences together but they are slow and slurred. She had a barium swallow test which showed she is not able to swallow :( So she has a feeding tube... That was traumatic and unsettling as we are not sure if that will change. She was able to move her right leg which we all were very encouraged about. She had a session with an Occupational therapist and a PT. both sessions went really well.... Mom is in Cal Pacific Medical Center with excellent cardio and neurological staffing who are working very closely with the family. I will be staying with my sister and her husband for a few days then I will be moving into Moms house in Novato....she has a little dog,Mini, who will be my companion... Thank you all who have sent messages along to us. We are off to SF soon Happy holidays!!!
