Mom made it through surgery and did well. Her Heart started beating again on its own. She had a lot of radiation damage to her heart and chest wall from the breast cancer 10 years ago. She also has extensive osteoporosis which prevented them from harvesting the mammary artery so they had to use a larger portion of a leg vein. The next 24 hours are critical. They did 4 bypasses and had one area that they couldnt bypass because it was too small to graft. Their goal is to have her off the ventilator by tonight or in the morning and if all goes well sitting in a chair by 6 am tomorrow and moved to a regular room by tomorrow night or Wednesday. She has a long road of recovery ahead. We just saw her. It was difficult to see her that way but she looks good and her nurse says she is doing really well. Please continue to pray for her.
