Mom update: things seemed to have taken a turn for the worse. Pnumonia has set in, and she has also developed an unidentified infection. They have had to increase use of the ventilator, and they have started a rigorous regimen of antibiotics to fight the infection. Best case scenario is that her body will react to the antibiotics and they can have her off of the ventilator by Monday. Worse case scenario, she will be on the ventilator 10+ days and it is possible that the infection can lead to various organ failure.
