“Mom, what are you showing Auntie?” He asked his own mother. - TopicsExpress

“Mom, what are you showing Auntie?” He asked his own mother. “Hmm?? Ah! Memories! I was just about to show them how cute you looked as a kid!” Sheath quickly took the picture album, took it to the table and started taking out a billion pictures. Then he handed the family album back to his mom. “Here.” He said. “I just took out the embarrassing pictures. That’s all.” His mom quickly searched through it. “Sheath give me all those pictures right now.’ Auntie turned serious. “Nope!” Sheath replied as he ran up to his room and shut the door. “Why was he so embarrassed? They were just his cute baby pictures!” My mom said, sadly. Auntie laughed. “Don’t worry! He left one here by accident.” Auntie took out Sheath’s last picture from behind his older sister’s picture. But… that wasn’t Sheath. It was a girl… a cute one. “Uhm… Auntie… I think you’ve got the wrong picture… It’s a girl.” I said, examining it. She looked like she was about four years old. “No Samaar its Sheath.” Auntie said holding up the picture closer to me. I looked at it even closer and saw that the little girl did resemble Sheath a little. Then I started laughing. “His older sister, Jameelah really wanted a little sister. Because Subhee and Yaqub were guys, she was already tired of brothers. She wanted a sister to play with. And she was at least ten years older than Sheath, so she got your uncle to dress Sheath up as a girl once in a while.” “Auntie, if I were him I would have already burnt them all.” I said. “He would have if he knew earlier. We made extra copies! So there’s no use! I can replace them all the time. Here you could take this picture. If he ever threatens you or tries pushing you to do things for him then you show him whose boss!” I laughed at that and took the picture. After taking the picture I put it in my wallet and grinned. Who knows? I could use it to my advantage. I went to school the next day, fearing Yusra’s answer. Tomorrow was the day Yusra would sort stuff out with Conner. Would she accept him or refuse him? There are three things I definitely know about my best friend: a) She won’t ever date a guy. b) She won’t ever marry a non-Muslim, and c) She definitely won’t admit her feelings of ever liking Conner. But in the end, I’m still worried.
