“Mom, will you make me a baby book?” She’s almost nine She ties her own shoes And rolls her eyes with attitude She wants to wear the latest trends Leans away from my hugs And prefers her friends Her limbs are long Her eyes are wise She holds the small confidences Her friends ask her to hide But still, she wants a baby book To retrace small steps To really look… I never was a mom who could craft All attempts to be Super Mom Remain permanently “in draft” But, something has shifted Something feels new And I want to give her more To hold onto It’s never too late Of course there is time To honor her passage From birth to age nine When I started this project I couldn’t foresee That this gift for her Was also for me. It’s never too late for a baby book. Because, no matter how old they are, they’re always your baby. blinkbuggy Free. Secure. Simple. Blinkbuggy is super awesome and you should try it because: A) Using the app made me cry my own tears. B) Blinkbuggy is not just photos (in addition to photos, you add milestones, quotes, artwork, etc.). It’s a LIFE log, you guys! C) They are focused on protecting your/your children’s privacy (every time you upload something, it gives you options of who to share it with (public, grandma, Uncle Ned, but, not Uncle Ned’s girlfriend or to remain visible to just YOU!)- Every moment can have its own privacy option. Like, whoa. D) There’s an awesome, new postcard option with the app that lets you send customized photo postcards right from your phone! (Except not to Uncle Ned’s girlfriend…obviously.)
