Moment #1 from Thanksgiving Break: Each year, Jenna embraces the madness that is Black Friday, but I naturally had some hesitations this year for a multitude of reasons. You know that this is my favorite shopping day of the year, right, she asked with those beautiful brown eyes. I responded,Too many things could go wrong, so I dont think its a good idea. Of course, we found ourselves at WalMart hours later walking the aisles and surveying the deals. After trumping my initial suggestion to stay home, Jenna knew that my new stipulation was that she could walk around the store for about thirty minutes, and I would return her home safely before the first event. Then, I would return later to pick up anything she felt was a good buy. My lady proceeded to get me wrapped up in a number of conversations about different topics, and we saw and talked to a lot of people shocked to see Jenna out amongst the crowds. Soon, I looked at the time and realized that it was too late to leave. You baited me, I said in a defeated tone. Jenna only smiled as we strolled to our first bargain. I would later witness that my wifes stubbornness and manipulation was an attempt to prove to herself and me that she could handle a challenging and stressful scenario. True to form, my wife confidently pushed a cart through the lines and out the door with the items for which she came. Mission accomplished. She taught me a few lessons that night! :)
