Moment for true reconciliation. We have lost a son, a brother, - TopicsExpress

Moment for true reconciliation. We have lost a son, a brother, a star & promising icon. This sad event has once again exposed the emptiness of life & the vanity nature of our being. It has brought grief, guilt & very pensive moment of circumspection. I feel the guilt which I expect everyone of our sincere members to feel, knowing that we have not done our owanlen & respected elder Emmanuel Ijewere proud to have warranted his adding this lost gem or any member of his immediate family to our group. Considering the passion, enthusiasm, motivation & expectation with which he joined us almost 3 years ago, I know he would have proudly introduced his family members & other notable sons & daughters of Ubiaja extraction to our initially promising forum, before this unexpected demise. From the day owanlen joined us & committed himself, asking us to come up with a project that we could execute within plausible short period, our forum lost focus & sense of direction to ego, insincere pettiness, bitterness, half truth, etc. We have failed owanlen or not lived upto his expectation, are both understatements. I also feel guilt in the manner this terrible loss was brought to the knowledge of UABT, & the scanty responses it attracted. I hope it had nothing to do with my leadership that was engulfed in political controversy or our owanlen Collins Ebea who has upto the last excos financial update, refused to get registered despite all appeals & systematic antagonisms. This should not be about owanlen Collins or Vincent Otubor, but owanlen Emma Ijewere who has continued to be there for us irrespective of the shameful odds, & the entire Ubiaja. When the exco saw owanlen Collins post, (I personally wished it was posted by a known registered member like my big mummy Mami Okojie or owanlen Sly Edaghese) it was reseasoned that there was no need for duplication of such post, but while it didnt attract expected responses, the idea to create a condolence register came in. Some procedural questions like getting family approval first, amongst others, has made this idea seem belated. Now that the funeral arrangements has been made public, I want to passionately appeal to all members in Lagos & other privileged distant members to on behalf of exco & entire UABT, be a part of this comportment & condolence engagement. We need to be there fore one another especially in moments of pain & sorrow. If the death of our dear Alida Obinyan which we seem to have forgotten so soon, didnt open us to the emptiness of life, I pray that the loss of our young promising lad Usifo, will help us. Life here on earth is only a stage; it isnt all about how long. Let us all live in love, brotherliness, having the fear of God in relationship with one another. Let the true reconciliation begin now that we still have Owanlen Emma Ijewere with us, fully committed. May the gentle soul of our beloved brother & son, rest in perfect peace. May God grant, our wonderfully blessed family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Amen.
