Momma update... Well she was moved into inpatient rehab yesterday and let me tell ya it was no small feat. Somehow the records that were sent to the insurance company made her ineligible for inpatient rehab treatment. After five hours (yes five hours) on the phone with Mommas insurance my sister was able to the get the ruling overturned and Momma moved to the rehab portion of the hospital where she will be for the next 14 days. For those of you whose parents are at this stage in there lives its a trying time for sure. But here is what we have learned thus far. If your parent/parents have Medicare your parents can authorize you to be a person of contact on their policy and you will be able to discuss with the provider the type of services offered by their policy. This can be done over the phone so I would encourage you guys to get with your parents and take care of this immediately. Thanks for all of the prayers, texts, phone calls of encouragement we are beyond grateful and thankful!!
