Mommy Update Nov 18 We had a terrible scare this morning. Christie was in the hallway after she brushed her teeth and was getting reading for therapy. Jason asked her what was wrong because she wasnt talking or walking. She said, I dont feel good! Somethings wrong! Before he could catch her she fell straight back onto the terrazzo tile floor. He said she hit so hard, her head literally bounced. He yelled for me and I called 911. They were there before I could finish getting dressed!! They did X-rays and brain scan and everything looked fine. Her neck is very sore but shes home, shes eaten and is resting! She never lost consciousness and the Doctor feels it was a vasovagal episode (en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vasovagal_response) She had these in high school and ended up with several concussions and seizures. She couldnt drive for year when she was 16 because of them. They are common and some people are more prone to them. Talk about a scary moment!! Ralph got there and we all just looked at each other and Jason said, Were going to have to stop meeting here!! What a blessing and relief she is OK. She has a very busy guardian angel. Weve decided she needs a pink blinged out helmet to wear. Yesterday we were at ERgent Care because she has a bad sinus infection. Poor baby, she just wants to feel good.
