Mommy confession #12971823: So Holden is craaaaazy afraid of big dogs. No idea why. But every time he sees one I have to lean over and pick the brick off the ground that he just shat. So yesterday we went to a play date and my friend has not one but TWO big dogs. And one of them is super energetic, so Holden was shitting bricks left and right. But when it was time to leave we went out the garage and Holden saw this totally kickass tractor toy sitting there and decided to park himself on it and wouldn’t go. ME: Holden, let’s go. (pause) Holden, seriously, it’s time to leave. (pause) Holden, now. But guess who didn’t listen. So I decided to pull out the big guns. ME: Holden, the dogs are coming. Did I feel like an a-hole? Hells yeah. But did it work? Abso-f’ing-lutely. The poor little guy jumped off that tractor ASAP and bolted to our car faster than Usain Bolt. Mission accomplished.
