Moms Journey, Day 4. Not all journeys involve travel. Mom has come a long way this week. Today, I stayed home and worked on reports letting others travel. My dad, brother, sister, and son visited with mom at the hospital. It was great hearing from them through the day as new milestones were reached: swallowing pills, eating mashed potatoes and gravy, drinking juice through a straw. Moms face shows little sign of the weakness now and her voice is returning to normal. Her progress is such that late this afternoon, she graduated to the Pioneer Rehab Facility in Vale. This will take a lot of the pressure off of dad as she improves. Doctors continue working to lower her high blood pressure. I await news on how the transfer went!
