Moms and Dads, do any of you have a vehicle that has lasted more than 200,000 miles without putting a ton of money to fix it? Im making a decision to either put money into fixing my Sienna or getting out of the Toyota family. They just dont make Toyotas like they used to. My car has 141,000 miles. I take care of it every 3,000-5,000 miles. I have an awesome mechanic. I have an awesome friend who can sell me a car. He helped us buy our Toureg. Hes now with Lexus. We love our first German car. Im convinced at the moment that German engineering is superior to Japanese engineering at the moment. I was hoping that my beautiful Sienna would last 200,000, if not 300,000 miles. Of course, Im doing research on my own, but any input on your vehicles would be greatly appreciated. My husband and the mechanic told me that our van is not currently safe to drive. Im weighing the risk of keeping it, spending more money into it or just replacing it. Ive had two used vehicles in my life. Im not getting another used vehicle. They did not last long and I dont want to waste money. Ill either buy or lease a car. The lease, at least, is a write-off for my business. Thanks!
