Moms love to tell stories, some are all truth and some are - TopicsExpress

Moms love to tell stories, some are all truth and some are embellished for story sake. This morning in the coffee shop a youngster about 4-5 went into the boys room and after longer then expected the grandfather knocked and inquired. A man waiting laughed and assured it was alright. many comic remarks from the old man ensued. The other man finally went into the girls room that is identical to the boys room. My motherly memory came back from when my youngest was that age at the YMCA. They are just barely old enough to go to the boys room without supervision. I was waiting outside the locker room at the YMCA thinking plenty of time had passed for a shower and change back into street clothes. I too knocked starting to worry a little and heard plenty of laughter. Everything was alright at least. The laughter was then a bit too raucously loud and the thought of mischievous monsters came to mind. It was my youngest. Sure enough water was coming out under the locker room door full of bubbles. A group of boys had plugged the shower drains. used more then ample soap and had created a bubble bath in the group shower area. No men in sight I resorted to yelling loudly about being in trouble and to stop and get dressed etc.... They were all so happy with themselves when they strutted out of the shower room totally ignoring my chiding about dont and does in the locker room. They were very very fresh and clean boys, feeling really great about the entire activity. Why was I so upset? He still doesnt understand why I get upset, some things never change. Sure enough this little boy came out exclaiming how the water in the sink came out too fast and he was just trying to wash his hands as he was totally drenched up the sleeves and down the front. Too funny, the huge hot chocolate ring was still wrapped around his lips and it never occurred to him to let the spray wash his face. so fresh!
