Mon: I got a birthday card on Friday which said: If u had a price tag, I wont afford you. U are priceless. Hmmm... does that mean because Im antique & past my sell by date. While I know it meant I am invaluable, it struck me how often we think we are past the point of restoration. I mean I always crease my forehead, squish my face & think Im too broken, 2 old for my age & feel exhausted so I look exhausted. I have more scars than stretchmarks from too much physical trauma, a mass of wrinkles from all the crying & too many miles mentally. How then would I have any worth? Hmmm. My husband owns a furniture restoration company. I was in bed looking at some pics & was amazed at how he turned useless old furniture into sought after pieces of treasure. I asked him HOW? He said: 1st - take care of all the dents & damages. 2nd: Strip it, sand it, apply 1st coat, primer, sand again, 2nd coat, then prepare for finishing) sanding & then polishing. And an antique (something past its sell by date) is restored, becomes invaluable & worth - well - PRICELESS. He told me my dents & damages have been fixed. My hurts & pain was my stripping n sanding. My wisdom is my coats of paint. My challenges my second sanding. My experience my final coat & my ability to help My POLISHING & just like that I am a restored antique ;) Invaluable. And you are too. If you feel you are done, hopeless, valueless & the world would rather forget u think again. All u need is some restoration. Look at how u were stripped, sanded & how u can now be painted and polished. U can be invaluable too. Start the process of restoration. You are on your way to having the most worth u ever did. Mwahh Choose Life. Much lovies. Tash
