Mon June 9 update: Kai had a follow up with his awesome cardiologist today. He had an EKG & chest x-ray, both which looked great! Dr Nugent cleared him for his Make A Wish trip to London next month (July 14 -24). He also took him off his cardiac meds and a couple supplements. He cleared him to ride RIDES, play non-contact sports (w/chest protection because his conduit is anterior), run, play and enjoy life. Woohoo! Kai comes back in 3 months for follow up and echocardiogram. But today is miracle Monday! Praise God for His MANY blessings. We also walked around CICU and visited some wonderful people who helped care for Kai. We love Dr Cook & the CICU team! Thank you Childrens Medical Center Dallas! Its been almost 6 months since Kais open heart surgery and stroke, and he is better than before. Kai also had his EEG this am. But we have to wait for results & consult with his neurologist, hopes of getting off the seizure meds. God is good though and were looking forward to the future. Thank you too all the prayer warriors and supportors, both emotionally and financially. Its been a long 6 months and theres still a road ahead, but Kai is getting stronger every day and thats the good news... theres a road ahead. :-) Hallelujah!
