Mon, Sep 30 - 4:45 PM ET A WORD FROM THE BOND PITS: 3rd quarter closes with minimal fanfare with little supply, but demand was equally uninspiring. Volumes were below normal. CLOSING TECHNICAL SIGNAL: We will continue to Float as technicals take a backseat to the issues in Washington surrounding the possible shutdown. At this point in time, it looks like a shutdown will occur. MARKET WRAP: The possibility of a government shutdown kept Stock prices underwater throughout the session and lent some support to the Bond markets, though the gains minimal. The 4% coupon ended at 104.88 up 6bp. The Dow lost 128.57 points to 15,129.67, the S&P 500 dropped 10.20 points to 1681.55 while the Nasdaq fell 10.11 points to 3,771.47. Oil was last seen at $102.36/barrel down 52 cents. The ISM Index will be the only economic data point tomorrow. Obamacare begins tomorrow. The Labor Department stated that it will not release the September Jobs Report this Friday in the event of a partial shutdown last through the week.
