Mona Vale Fair on this SUNDAY !!!!! from Pittwater Council; ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR AT MONA VALE! The new Mona Vale Market will be on Sunday 3 November at Village Park and Park Street Mona Vale between 10am and 5pm. The market – which is set to become an annual event - will feature over 120 stalls, live music, gourmet food, homewares, fashion and jewellery. A portion of Park Street will be closed off to all but pedestrians and stall holders on the day. Mona Vale Chamber of Commerce President Aaron Hendrikson said the market was intended to boost visitor numbers to local shops. He acknowledged the assistance of local businesses in helping the Chamber put together the market for the first time. “We’ve been fortunate to have Fitness First Mona Vale sponsor the market in its first year,” he said. “Local video production company Quickclips are also supporting the market by videoing the day,” added Mr Hendrickson. Pittwater Council is supporting the event through its Enliven Pittwater program, aimed at bringing vibrancy to Pittwater’s retail centres. Mayor Jacqui Townsend said the Council had been recognised for its support of local markets by recently winning a national award. “This event will have a true market ambience, with buskers and a huge variety of stalls,” she said. “It’s a good example of how the Council, businesses and the community can all benefit from the partnerships brought about through the Enliven Pittwater project,” said Cr Townsend. Parking is unavailable in Park Street from the evening before the market. However parking is available at Kitchener Park for a gold coin donation, with the funds raised going towards Warriewood Surf Club.
