Milkweed they depend on is dying fast mainly due to heerbicides used by farmers. So can you find it in your heart to buy and plant a little milkweed in your yard? The larvae strips it bare and then weaves a chrysalis from which a new monarch emerges. Each time the milkweed grows larger meaning more of these wonders of nature. Best o f all they migrate through our areas. Lets make sure to keep them doing their part in nature by planting even one milkweed . A butterfly house is great too. Like a bird house w a slit for an entrance about 4 high in the shade. All BFs can rest and take shelter for 1-4 days. There are so many things that are easy to help our little creatures. An overturned pot missing a piece offers relief to frogs and lizards and salamanders. And shallow pans of water buried to ground level
