Monday 22 December FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD Meditation: “For as the body without the spirit is dead. So faith without works is dead also” (James 2:26 NKJV). Text: James 2:20-26 God wants His children to be a demonstration of the kingdom to the world. That is the reason why He left us here on earth. He left us to manifest heaven to the world. And the word of God is the key. However, it is not enough to have the word. We must act on the word. If you have the word without a corresponding action, you cannot become what God has said. You cannot demonstrate the kingdom. If God said that you are righteous and you do not walk in that mindset, it will never happen. There must be action to every word. The action to every word is what produces the result. If you have faith without action, you are not going to produce any result. Faith without works cannot be called faith. It is dead. True faith must inspire action. The faith of a Christian can only produce when he acts on what God said. Faith is able to produce when there is action. That is how it works. It is not enough to read the word. The purpose of that word of God is for you to manifest it in your life. That is the reason. Every promise you read, every instruction you encounter in the scriptures; the desire of God is for you to manifest that promise or instruction. If you just read it, or hear it and there is no action to it, it cannot produce. Remember you are not called to function like the rest of the world. No! “The just shall live by faith” (Rom.1:17). The just shall live by the word of God. And the word of God makes you what He said when you believe it and act on it. Prayer Request: 1. Lord, give me grace to live according to your word. 2.
