Monday 29th July to Saturday 3rd August - 10am to 3pm daily The Irish Chamber Orchestra’s EXCITING CREATIVE CAMP FOR KIDS is back this summer with a spectacular Mardi Gras celebrating 40 years of the University of Limerick. If your children are aged between 8-12 years, they can experience a wonderful week of music, drama, dance and art, in a state-of-the-art facility, at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance. This year’s team is led by ICO violinist Diane Daly and ICO Community Manager, Kathleen Turner. Tutors include singer/actress Jean McGlynn, dancer Jenny Brown, artist Lisa Cody, percussionist Boris Hunka, alongside musicians from the Irish Chamber Orchestra. We are delighted to welcome a special guest artist to our very talented team, Italian mime artist and actor, Oscar Valsecchi. As always Music Factory culminates in a Family Fun Day on Saturday 3 August and all of the family are invited along to participate in activities. All participants must bring their own packed lunches daily and bottled water is also advisable. The fee for Music Factory Mardi Gras is €100. This includes a full week of creative workshops from 10am – 3pm daily and a Mardi Gras special edition t-shirt. Places are limited and are sought after, so early booking is recommended. Contact Kathleen Turner on 061 234632 or [email protected] Music Factory is an Irish Chamber Orchestra community initiative, and is generously co-sponsored by UL40, with additional support from the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance.
