Fine elsewhere until isolated showers develop about central and eastern parts for a period during the afternoon. Cold to locally very cold at first with areas of frost about the north, then a cool day grading to locally mild in the north. Light to moderate west to northwesterly winds, shifting fresh west to southwesterly during the afternoon and becoming strong about the south. Weather Situation A deep low over the Tasman Sea will move eastwards, while a weak ridge passes over Tasmania tonight. A cold front will follow tomorrow morning, bringing a return to a southwesterly airstream, and this will persist through Tuesday. The stream will gradually ease as a slow moving high approaches from the west on Wednesday morning, then passes over the state overnight bringing very cold temperatures.
