Monday 7:02 Well home has been an adventure! Last night brought me back to the days of having small infants. She woke up screaming every two hours, but a bottle and a diaper change can no longer cut it. Thank goodness for pain medication and valium (which helps relax the muscles in her back). But lets face it, Marlo cannot be stopped. Today is her brothers 16th birthday and all she wants to do is go to dinner with everyone. She is a true Beesley in that she doesnt want to miss anything! So we rented a wheelchair (even though she can walk) and we are going to try this....I might be home in 20 minutes but the effort alone is impressive. Thank you Roxy Gage for a delicious lunch (Marlos favorite - queso and Arroz con Pollo). I couldnt get her to eat anything but somehow Mexican food fixes everything. Aunt Cindy and Julia leave tomorrow and Nonna is coming in for relief. Marlo is excited to see her grandmother! She is still battling the pain, finding a comfortable position is not easy. But she is moving around well and her wound looks great. I feel so blessed to work in the medical device field and then see the miracle of them inside my child. She put a dress on tonight and she is straight, tall and beautiful. A sight to behold. I am growing somewhat weary of being Nurse Nancy but every time I want to complain I take a look at her and realize Ive got nothing left but gratitude. We will just keep on healing. xox
