Monday: A cool day for the time of year. A fresh NW across Caithness, Sutherland, The Western Isles, Orkney and Shetland. Heavy showers will affect Western Sutherland, Wester Ross, Harris and Lewis to start the day and these will develop more widely for areas to the north of Inverness where some will be thundery. A few showers elsewhere too but also some sunny spells developing, the best of these towards Lochaber this afternoon. Max temp 12-15c Breezy with showers continuing for Caithness, Sutherland, Orkney and Shetland. Elsewhere the odd shower but also lengthy clear spells leading to a cold night with lows of 3 or 4c in sheltered glens towards Lochaber in particular, nearer 9c in the showery north. Tuesday will see further showers, especially the further north you are where it will be windy again. The best of the sunshine to the south of high ground sheltered from the northerly wind. Turning cold overnight into Wednesday towards Lochaber, Strathspey and Badenoch in particular with a touch of grass frost. Please remember to keep liking and sharing the posts.
