Monday, August 18, 2014 Had an interesting start to my day. Should have seen it as an omen or something. When I came downstairs, I quickly saw that Oreo, the cat, had thrown up at the base of the stairs. Whoopee -- not! Got it cleaned up, then commenced with my regular morning chores. After showering and dressing, I made the trip to Raymond to work on the house. It wasnt long before that which I wanted to do went south. Got one curtain hung in the dining room. Went to hang the other curtains and noticed the curtain rod brackets were coming out of the wall. Got my hammer and climbed the step ladder to discover those bracket were not fastened with the proper nails/screws. Im not pleased. Now I need to buy new brackets. Went into one of the bathrooms to hang curtains only to discover no curtain rods. Now I get to buy new rods. One of the bedrooms had no rods either, so basically all I really managed to do was hang one curtain as well as fix a small (about quarter size) hole made in the linoleum where the refrigerator would sit. Looked in the oven and saw cleaner on the oven walls, so I got that wiped down. Called my older brother to see about him cutting down a small tree that is leaning, which I see as a liability. Was hot and sweaty, became discouraged, and gathered up anything that resembled garbage and headed out. Tomorrow is another day. *taking a very deep breath* There is more, but I just wont go there. *breathing* *breathing* *breathing*
