Monday, February 9, I will join Dr. Jeff Keuss and other film enthusiasts for the annual Kindlings Muse Oscar Show. Its a podcast conversation recorded before a live audience at Hales Pub and Brewery in Seattle. Were going to resolve, once and for all, all controversial issues related to the historical inaccuracies of AMERICAN SNIPER, SELMA, THE IMITATION GAME, THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, BOYHOOD, THE GRAND BUDAPEST HOTEL, WHIPLASH, and my prediction for Best Picture (which is, naturally, of the films Ive seen so far, the nominee Im least enthusiastic about): BIRDMAN. And then, during the bonus round, well ask God himself to phone in and share his picks. The answers may surprise you! (I suspect hes going to cast a write-in vote for THE LEGO MOVIE.) And remember: Drink responsibly. Weve hired Bradley Cooper to bring a paintball gun and hide on a rooftop across the street, ready to take out anybody who threatens to disrupt the program.
