Any NHS student that can help with a benefit for Bailie Dunham’s Grandfather on January 23rd from 3:30-7:30 see Allie Legue to sign up for a 2 hr. shift. Attention Youth in Government Students your final payment of $275.00 is due to Mr. Baker on Jan. 29th. Read-throughs for the spring play Murder at Crooked House will take place in the auditorium on Tuesday, January 21st at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, January 22nd at 3:30 p.m. See you there! Tryouts for the spring play will take place in the auditorium on Monday, January 27th at 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, January 29th at 3:30 p.m. You don’t need to be present at both tryouts to be given a part in the play. The annual Vassar Variety High School Show (Mock Rock) is back on once again this year. You can sing, dance, lip sing, Saturday night live skits, group acts, and solos. If you have any questions you can ask the SADD President Katie Kollman or the Vice President Rose Garcia. All the money we earn goes to charity and this year’s Junior & Senior Prom T-shirts. So come sign up outside the office. The last day to sign up is January 31. Sign-up sheets will be up by this afternoon. SENIORS COLLEGE – UNIVERSITY DATE TIME Northern Michigan University 1/28/2014 2:00 SIGN UP SHEET IN SSC ATHLETICS Last night our gymnastics team placed 11th out of 17 teams at the Jeanne Caruss gymnastics Inv. Anna O’Connor place 9th on the Vault. Practice today at Central from 3:30-5:00. VARSITY Vassar: 62 Reese: 59 Scoring Leaders: Leading all scorers was Eli Harper with 19 points; Blake Ruppal had 18 and Lamont Morrison had 10. Rebounding Leaders: Lamont Morrison had 9 rebounds and Tyler Humpert had 8. Plus/Minus Leaders: Lamont Morrison had 4 assists, 3 steals, 3 blocks and 2 deflections. JV Vassar: 39 Reese: 34 Scoring Leaders: Leading all scorers with 11 was Evan Wilcox. Rebounding Leaders: Luke Bogert led Vassar with 8 rebounds. Plus/Minus Leaders: Evan Wilcox had 4 assists and 2 steals; Rob Atwood had 3 steals. Last week on Wednesday the wrestlers went to Cass City. Vassar 42 and Cass City 39, Vassar 54 and Brown City 24. On Saturday they went to Durrand and took 5th place out of 10 teams. 1st place finishers were Billy Abbott, Nick Baker, Cyle Lesko and Todd Noblin. Boys JV &Varsity Harbor Beach basketball game is rescheduled for Jan 27th @ Harbor Beach. Bus will leave at 4:00.
