Monday, January 26, 6:30 am Sidney and I had a long night. She was very agitated from about 8:30 on. Her breathing was heavy and blood pressure was elevated, I thought for awhile she might bite through her bottom lip. The first round of Tylenol didnt seem to do much, but after a shift change at 11:00, and another round of Tylenol after midnight, she started to calm down. As long as the tylenol was working she was calmer, but just struggled with agitation all night long. She is asleep now, but Im sure, not rested. Today she has her right foot casted, as well as left elbow. Her brain hasnt started telling those muscles to go ahead and relax yet. The casting will help the tone in those muscles by stretching them. Soon, her brain will connect, signaling those muscles to relax on their own, until then, they are helping her along. She has more speech and physical therapy later today after the casting. I know this will be a tiring day for her even though technically out of the coma, waking up and becoming coherent take a very long time. Real life is not even remotely close to whats on TV! Baby steps ❤️
