Monday Selah! I am continually surprised by the depth of immaturity in the body of Christ when it comes to understanding and interpreting scripture, as well as walking out relational conflict, and how easily we throw away relationships and friendships over issues that are variables and not constants. I travel in all kinds of streams and tribes in the body of Christ that all think their truth is the only way to look at things and the only way to do things (which I have done dogmatically many times lol, especially when I was younger), which is very small-minded and immature, and are not even willing to consider that there are other ways of thinking out there that are not better, but maybe just different, and that those who believe different we dont just throw away, especially if what they believe is a belief or doctrine that is a variable and not a constant. Let me give an example, Jesus coming to Earth in the flesh (incarnation) is a constant (doesnt change), and is a truth that if we do not believe we are probably not a Christian (read 1 John), so we can love them but will probably only have so much fellowship, but when and how He comes again to Earth is a variable (able to be changed or adapted), because NONE of us know any of this for sure and every theory out there is choosing different modes of interpretation to come up with their conclusions and all are right in some form, and all are wrong in some form, because holes can be shot in most of them. Now I will say that studying what historically already took place is always safe because it is historical fact, so what happened in 70A.D. must be understood before anyone can properly teach or understand end-times things, and history is normally pretty constant. I fellowship with a broad range of people and streams of thought, but we all probably agree on 90% and have a few different views on the other 10% but I am not going to call them false, or deceivers, or heretics, and throw them away and demonize them because of that 10% especially when that 10% is normally variable doctrines that do not affect my salvation or the blood of Jesus. I have friends that have different views than I do of church government, grace, faith, Heaven, hell, the devil, holiness, sonship, and a host of other things yet we still fellowship and are friends because THE commandment of the new covenant is to love one another as Christ has loved us, and relationships should trump rules. So if we are more concerned with our pet variable doctrine than we are in loving relationships that God has connected us too, then it is a SURE sign of immaturity and a religious Pharisaical attitude, and makes me wonder, that if we can just throw relationships away so easily, was there ever a real loving relationship in the first place or was it a love that only loved what we could get from that person. Remember family that the only way this world knows we are HIS is not by how much we know and whether we have all of our doctrine right and we are 100% in agreement, but by how we love one another, so if what we are doing is not based on love we better question it, so please go and spread His love this week. Have an awesome week everyone, love you all!
