Monday, as part of the legislative back enshrined in the Constitution, the Prime Minister Laurent Lamothe will make the presentation and tabling of the results of his Government to the Haitian Parliament, in the presence of the great servants of the State and the Diplomatic Corps The Head of Government will report in particular, on the economic situation in the country which has improved considerably in 2013 with gross of around 1.8 billion U.S. dollars, gross domestic product grew by approximately 4.3% compared to 2.9% in 2012 and inflation continued to decline, which fell from 6.5% to 4.5% at the end of fiscal year 2013. Also, exports have increased by almost 20% in terms of growth, Haiti has achieved undeniable results during the past year. The Prime Minister will highlight progress in agriculture where production are on the rise, with better performance in 2013. He will mention among other efforts at the level of environmental policy of the Government with the activation of a body of forest monitoring, the implementation of the Biological Corridor of the Caribbean and major infrastructure projects. Laurent Lamothe will also focus on commercial and industrial achievements, the creation of new jobs in the textile, advances in areas of tourism, judicial, social affairs, public health, foreign affairs, planning and external cooperation, education, public works, energy, culture and communication, defense, fight against extreme poverty etc...
