Monday is the 2nd anniversary celebration with the yarn peeps. Join us with the knitters, crocheters & loomers from Millies Hats for Hope. In 2 short years this group has finished over 3600 hand made items and distributed those items to the homeless, veterans, women & children in shelters, the working poor, parishes & churches, Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, and many other groups (sorry for those I missed). Our fearless leader, Millie Judd, works tirelessly to find yarn donations, pattern & book donations, other supplies such as knitting needles, crochet hooks & looms. It takes a core of selfless volunteers who show up regularly to enrich so many lives of those who have less. Thank you all! Barbara Wenglinski Dempkowski, Cathy Clark Holden, Robin Lynn Lewis, Pat Birdsall, Kristen Barnes, Kendra Shriver, Bevy J Hart, and anyone else I didnt list. (Sorry!) And a special shout out to Dan Judd for carting, lifting, and helping us every step of the way. You all are special and like family to me.
