Monday night I posted a lightning shot from 2011 and talked about - TopicsExpress

Monday night I posted a lightning shot from 2011 and talked about the videos I took after that shot. Was going to post the links last night but had other shots I was excited about. Tonight I am about to head to the Sundance Square Plaza for movie night. But can post the links to my videos. I went out on the balcony of my condo (34th floor facing east) to shoot lighting. As I was out there, this wild display took place. It lasted 20 minutes. I started taking video with my camera. (5D Mk II at the time) and even had enough time to change lenses 3 times. It was a mile long series of electrical transformers blowing up and catching on fire. Plus lots of electrical arcing etc... Was just crazy. I really did not know what was going on but was not sure the world was not coming to an end. The video that was seen be most of the major news stations around the world, and was the number 1 trending video on YOUTUBE for 24 hours, was in low definition. They news stations saw my still shots and wanted the video. Badly. I have always regretted that decision. I should have let my hi def videos upload all night in the maximum resolution. I was some time later, when BBC wanted the clip and asked my if I had it in Hi Definition. I told them, yes but never uploaded it. They wanted to purchase the rights to it but we did not talk money and I dont think I wanted to give it up unless it was a lot of money and I dont really think it was. (I did get paid several times to let people us the video on one show or another. Mostly let people use them for free for public safety kinds of things. Anyway I have several videos for my new friends and followers. But as I talked about the 1.5 million view on the low def video, I will post that link as well. There is like a million comments. But if you want the good stuff? Load the high def stuff. Click the link and go to the bottom right and make full screen and then 1080 (hi def) then pause it for a minute or two where it can play uninterrupted. Hi defs first, then the one with the numbers. https://youtube/watch?v=o5rbueQHZx8
