Monday night the Student Food Drive was kicked off at the Northeast Iowa Food Bank. Area High School students compete to see what high school can collect the most. That food is brought to the Food Bank to be distributed to the hungry throughout northeast Iowa. A great annual event that not only provides food to those in need but also brings awareness to the problem in front of us. It also promotes the importance of giving. Most of you are aware of the Grant that we are trying to win. The number between us and #50 continues to dwindle but I remain optimistic that with your help we will be one of the fifty to win. Vote by going to fight hunger spark change walmart or walmart/fight hunger and select ia for Iowa and vote Northeast Iowa Food Bank.
