Mondays Melodic Memories: I Dont Even Know Your Name - Alan Jackson Jason Franzen remains the best country guitarist Ive ever worked with outside of Nashville session pickers. I played with Jason for a couple years as part of October Son. Jason comes from a very talented musical family, so I suppose its just in his blood. But I swear I could watch him pick guitar for hours without getting bored! And hes so dang humble, like the whole thing is just no big deal at all. He was able to show off on a lot of songs during our gigs, but my favorite was always this Alan Jackson tune. Jason sang this one, too, so he was fully loaded. Hed get through those vocal parts with his fingers just waiting in anticipation of the time theyd be free to fly. And when he let em loose, man were they fast! Its so much fun to watch someone whos really good at doing something make it look so easy. Casual patrons of the clubs and festivals we played at may not have known to take a chance to appreciate Jasons talents...too bad for them. ow.ly/xxFUN
