Money... Its on almost everyones mind. Everyone deals with it on a daily basis. And one things for certain, almost everyone I meet says they need more of it! You would think that for something that is so important to so many people, it would be easy to spot a fake when you see one. But the department of Treasury says there are about 70 million fake bills in circulation! That makes the odds that weve had one of them at some point in time pretty good and we didnt even realize it. Why? Because most of us havent been trained to spot the difference between the real thing and an imposter. But for the people who know how, it isnt very difficult. They know a fake because they have spent hour upon hour studying the original... the real deal. They know every detail down to the way a real bill feels when they touch it. Jesus called himself the Good Shepherd. What does that have to do with fake money, you say? He said, “To him, the gatekeeper opens. The sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes before them, and the sheep follow him, for they know his voice.” Let me ask you this. Of all the voices that call for us and claim to be legitimate in this world, how do we separate the fakes from the real deal? The answer is the same way a counterfeit bill is spotted... by studying the original. When you become familiar with Jesus and his teachings you will find something so intimate and personal that there will be no question of his legitimacy. You will hear a voice calling you and somehow you will know that that voice existed before the beginning of time and that it was familiar to you in a way that only the Creator of your soul could be familiar... and you will long to follow Him because you will know that he will lead you home. Well, thats it for today. I cant be any more plain or honest with you. My hope is that you look into these things for yourself and dont simply take the false voices of this worlds word for it. They are there to lead you astray but there is only one who will lead you home. The Good Shepherd is calling your name. Do you hear his voice? . How much do I owe you? said the man to his Lord. For giving me this day and every day thats gone before. Shall I build a temple, shall I make a sacrifice? Tell me Lord and I will pay the price. And the Lord said: I wont take less than your love, sweet love. No, I wont take less than your love. All the treasures of the world could never be enough, And I wont take less than your love.
