Money saving idea!! Our butchers sho-p will be doing the big fall meat sale. Last year part of that was $1.19 a pound 80/100 ground beef. I plan on 50 pounds. Of that 50 pounds I want to try making about 10 pounds of preformed frozen patties! I figure 1/4 pound patties...that will make 40 burgers that in theory should be like a bubba burger...just grab and cook. Has anyone tried this before?? Do you have tips?? The rest will be split like this: 10 pounds cooked into taco meat-split into 1lb packs, 10 meatloaves using 1 lb of meat in each, 5 pounds made into meatballs, and 15 pounds just cooked and crumbled, then split into 1 pound packs for easy fix meals like skillit dishes, tatertot casseroles and such. I figure Meegan will come over and help get it all read and bring 1/3 to her house. Morgan will help but since she doesnt eat meat she will complain a lot!! But she shouldnt...we also help her make vegi burgers!!
