There should be a small but reasonable amount allowed so that all are basically on the same level when it comes to purchasing government influence. Nothing must come in the way of the people being able to influence their government as forcefully as anyone or any entity(corporate or private). The present system has devolved into an apparatus that benefits the few over the many who are just as deserving.
