Monotheistic conservatives conceive God as an upaya (expedient - TopicsExpress

Monotheistic conservatives conceive God as an upaya (expedient device or skillful means or approach ) by which one reaches the Kingdom of Heaven within. Upaya is reification or substantialization of God. Reification or substantialization is worship of idolatry turning God into a concrete idol. Such perception of God is conservative and dualistic . Dualistic perception of God sets God concept and Buddha concept apart . This is the main reason why religionists of apparently different religions are so divided in minds and hearts . Likewise, Buddhist conservatives perceive Buddha-nature as an upaya by which Pure Land of Nirvana is reached within. Such perception of Buddha-nature is conservative and dualistic . Upaya is object reification turning the Buddha -nature into an idol worship. Such dualistic perception of Buddha-nature also divide Buddhism and Monotheism two different systems of belief. The Monotheistic progressives and the Buddhist progressives (Mahayanists are Buddhist progressives) meet eye to eye as they both perceive God and Buddha-nature in terms of Emptiness (Sunyata) . Emptiness is non-reification of insubstantialization. Emptiness is bipolar Unity of dependent co-genesis of interpenetration between phenomena (the conditioned) and Principle (the Unconditioned) or between creatures (the created ) and the Creator (the Uncreated). Since God is not an upaya; God is Truth of Emptiness is itself. Buddha-nature is not an upaya ; Buddha-nature is the Truth of Emptiness itself. Therefore, The Monotheistic progressives and the Buddhist progressives can see eye to eye that Monotheism and Mahayana Buddhism are not distinct esoterically. Process theism and process Buddhism can be reconciled through the process reality of the Eternal Now right here and right now. The Eternal Now is dynamic process reality of great Emptiness of the infinite Unity of Being. The infinite Unity of Being is perennial religion (religio-perennis).
