Instructor: Angie Courchaine is a community-based Twin Cities artist working in visual and performance arts. She has created with Heart of the Beast (which produces May Day, and where she also teaches), the Barebones Halloween Extravaganza, Bedlam, and the 1419 Artists’ Collective, as well as in several small, independent productions and cabarets. She is currently working on a project for Irrigate (on the Central Corridor), will create and ride an art bike for the Greenway glow, and is in the process of planning and creating something to perform in a summer cabaret at Heart of the Beast. Angie has been dancing since age five (twenty years!) and creating visual art even longer, and merges the two whenever possible. She likes art that moves, and is currently exploring shadow puppetry and dances involving bold visual elements. Most of her art is collaborative, and she is excited to work with young minds!
