Mont Saint Anne WC #5 Hey Guys, So we flew back over the pond and after 2 days of delays finally made it up to Mont saint Anne just in time for track walk! Track was looking fast and rough as always with a few fresh new changes...all pretty excited but myself a bit anxious as I just injured my shoulder riding in France tearing my rotator cuff slightly....less than ideal for a track like this. After practice it became evident that Micayala and Eliot were feeling very comfortable with myself just trying to hang on to the bag of Eliots pace!!! Qualifying went well for Micayla with her missing the last jump and coming in an awesome 5th! I put a solid run together and did better than i expected with 23rd place. Eliot was on a flyer coming through the first and second split times in 14th place then about 200 meters from the end his tire blew up and tube was in the cassette bringing his bike to a grinding halt! He tried to run to the line be so unfortunately not getting there quick enough and missing out on qualifying....so gutting for him and the team as this was the fastest he had been riding all year yet! Track was running great on race day and we got some good runs in but with Micayla still not quite getting the last jump, knew she was going to loose time here in the race...She put a great run together coming through both splits in 4th but a costly mistake right near then end and missing the last jump dropped her back to 6th...a great result but sooooo close to a podium is frustrating! I had a big crash on my last practice run and was all strapped up and pretty sore heading up for finals. I tried my best but with a small mechanical issue in my breaks wasnt able to put down the run I wanted to at all...ing in a disappointing 31st after a mellow qualy but better result I left wanting more. Good online coverage as always...you will notice different kit as we shot an ad for Raceface which will be featuring in Bikemag and on Pinkbike as well as there trailer attending events so worth it!
