Montana Sunset I used to ride the range From dawn until dusk My life was my own then The land was still free. I loved the wide open spaces Where a man could be alone Dreaming that heaven was on Earth In my old Montana home. We rode the woods and hills My trusty horse and me We traversed the mountains high But now the trails are gone. I remember that Montana sunset A soft orange glow From the tops of hills I watched it Where did it all go? People want the new ways of living Highways, developments, malls All I want is the great wide open sky And a quiet place to die. S. Kincaid 2013
