Monterrey Institute of Technology students visit MGIMO 24 students from the Monterrey Institute of Technology (Mexico) visited MGIMO university as part of a summer fact-finding trip to Moscow on June 6. The Mexican students were addressed by senior Spanish teacher, Alla Zenkovich, on Russian history since the middle ages, as well as its customs, traditions and culture. The students visit to Russian will include two more lectures. While in Russia the Mexican students will visit major museums including the Moscow Kremlin, the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War, and also visit St. Petersburg. MGIMO and the Monterrey Institute of Technology signed a cooperation agreement in 2002, and over the last 5 years there have been 9 MGIMO students spend time at the Mexican university. The Monterrey Institute of Technology was founded in 1943 by group of the businessmen looking to promote scientific and technical learning. It currently has more than 90 thousand students, with a staff of more than 8 thousand, in 31 branches across 25 cities of Mexico.
