Monthly Weight Management Results (August 2013) Happy - TopicsExpress

Monthly Weight Management Results (August 2013) Happy September! Last month saw significant improvements in both my attitude about food choices and serving sizes! Although the “Bariatric Eating” approach shows an excellent potential for success, there remains a constant struggle in maintaining my improved attitude…but not so much my adherence to this challenge! (I always entertain thoughts and fantasies of indulging!) It is becoming a part of my very existence, and this explains the reason for my extending the twelve-month “In Your Hands” challenge, to a sixteen month, semi-crucial approach!! The final sixteen weeks of 2013 (September-December), must result in my achieving an exodus out of the three hundred pound range, and into the two-hundred pound range! I have noted at least two changes in my body; with one being an indention that’s formed at the base of my neck and chest, and has never been there before. Also, as I lay down recently, my hand fell on the side of my hip and guess what??? Yes! I felt a bone…a HIP bone! Lol! I am so excited about getting to my proper weight, and the fact that finally reaching what’s referred to as ‘Onederland’ in the diet world—would mean my reaching a goal of between 150 and 160 pounds! I don’t believe I’ve seen those numbers since my teenaged years and early twenties! Anyway, my strategy will be altered to include a more radical adherence to the “Bariatric Eating” activity I’ve adopted and seem to excel in! It’s as simple as eating or not eating…but my problems occur somewhere in between!! As many overweight and obese persons know, the struggle to lose and maintain a proper body weight lies prominently inside the psyche of those affected. This is why role-play is a vital means of coping with what I consider deprivation of HOW I handle my intake of food! Everyone must eat, but in speaking for myself here; I must admit my attitude to “getting something to eat” is not an everyday normal one. I remember as a young kid while cleaning the dishes after the family meal…how I’d still make sandwiches from the leftovers—even while putting them away as leftovers! These were affectionately labeled as “fat habits” I had by my dear Mother. She was absolutely correct in her assessment too! Fortunately, I surprise even myself now, as I prepare meals, and promptly put them away after taking only small portions! (maturity?) The Youtube Bariatric videos are an enormous assist in shaping my appreciation for constraint and control…although this is forced on subjects who’ve undergone surgery. I cannot lie about not appreciating the weight loss results of these patients, and I can somewhat empathize with any elation they exhibit when noting very real results! Because my challenge will intensify for the final four months of 2013, I will only post weekly results of eating; exercise, and any other developments as I adhere to, and literally transform myself into a healthier human being!!!! : ) UNTIL NEXT WEEK!!!!! : )
