Monticello women get probation in Shortline ticket scheme MONTICELLO – Three of the four Monticello women charged with selling over $20,000 in duplicate Shortline tickets while working as ticket agents at the village bus terminal received probation on Tuesday. Lashawn Gaddis, 33, and Precious Rampe, 38, received five years probation and were ordered to serve 100 hours of community service. Both had pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny, felony. Victoria Somers, 26, received three years probation and was also ordered to serve 100 hours of community service after pleading guilty to petit larceny. A fourth defendant, Denise Cruz, has yet to be sentenced. All four were first arrested in September 2012 after Shortline officials alerted police to the scheme. At that time, police said they found 97 duplicate tickets in the cash drawer of Cruz when she was arrested at the terminal. Police estimated that Rampe sold 330 duplicate tickets for $9,900, Somers 264 tickets for $7,280 and Gaddis 156 tickets for $4,680.
