[Mood Status: a change in the diet never kills anyone] Today i watched the much waited pilot episode of The Librarians released on December 7, 2014 on TNT.. and.. i cannot decide whether to like it or not.. the first time i watched the Librarian (without the s) was in 2004, a James bond character mixed with indiana jones and Willy Wonka.. the Librarian (again without the pleural s) was a series of television films that aired in 2004-2009.. the main character the Librarian was played by Noah Wyle.. best known for the successful Sci-Fi series the Falling Skies also on TNT.. so it was a real surprise to me when the trailer of the Librarians (note the pleural s) was aired soon after the season finale of the falling skies.. in 2014, it was decided that there could only can be one librarian needed help and needed extra hands.. thus.. the Librarians characters (YES, with the s) were born.. basically the Librarians represent an ancient organization charged in protecting magic from falling into the wrong hands.. by racing the globe against criminal organizations searching for clues, artifacts and magic all over the planet.. the new team of librarians are: - Eve Baird: a counter-terrorism agent and the leader of the group.. - Jacob Stone: a cowboy laborer with an extensive knowledge of art history and architecture.. - Cassandra Cillian: a mathematician who has auditory and sensory hallucinations.. - Ezekiel Jones: a thief and master of technologies.. and John Larroquette as Jenkins who is.. well, he is like the butler in Batman.. and of course; Flynn Carsen who was the original Librarian.. but it is not clear whether he would be the main character as Noah Wyle is supposedly a guest star.. unfortunately the original characters from the the Librarian series who appeared in the first episode.. were soon to be killed or replaced.. thumbs up: i am a big fan of historians seeking adventures.. the Indiana Jones movies, the National Treasure movies and even the Davinci code are among my favourite movies.. the series seems to walk on the footsteps of Warehouse 13 and even the Leverage.. that serves drama with a bit more of comedy than being too serious.. thumbs down: just like back in 2004.. the characters felt cheesy and less believable.. and i believe that the writers of the series have made some technical mistakes in the script of the pilot episode that made me feel uneasy.. since 2004, the franchise was originally starred by Noah Wyle best known for his the Falling Skies TV series.. so to see him back as the Librarian was confusing.. but not more confusing than watching Jeff Daniels on Dumb and Dumber To after watching him in the Newsroom.. another thumbs down is that the original characters of the Librarian were temporary characters that are going to be replaced by he new team, including Noah Wyles character - the original Librarian.. He and the actors from original series were merely guest stars soon to be replaced.. the verdict:.. it is always TOO early to judge a book from its cover (or in this case, the pilot episode).. id give it a 4 stars out of five stars.. with great hopes riding on this one.. https://youtube/watch?v=8zh87m7vP00
