Moorers back in court Monday for a bond hearing Heather Elvis case. Sidney Moorer and Tammy Moorer are due back in court Monday for a circuit court bond hearing in connection with the disappearance of Heather Elvis. Sidney Moorer, and his wife, Tammy, have been charged with murder, kidnapping, obstruction of justice and two counts of indecent exposure. They were taken into custody Feb. 21 after Horry County police executed a search warrant at their home off Highway 814. Circuit Court Judge Steven John is listed in Horry County court records as the judge scheduled to preside over the hearing, which is scheduled to begin around 2 p.m. March 17, nearly four months after Elvis was last seen. Elvis, 20, disappeared some time after 6 a.m. Dec. 18. Her car was found at a local boat landing around 5:46 p.m. Dec. 19, according to public records. A police report said Elvis had a relationship history with Sidney Moorer, who in the same report told police he broke it off in October, but later admitted to speaking with Elvis on Dec. 18. According to the report, Moorer told police he only spoke to Elvis to tell her to stop calling and that was it. Arrest warrants released on Feb. 24 state Elvis was kidnapped and murdered at the boat landing. Horry County police executed a search warrant at the Moorers home “in an attempt to identify potential evidence based on new information obtained through expert analysis of previously seized surveillance tapes in the area along with financial discrepancies filed with the State of South Carolina on behalf of the occupants of the residents,” a news release said. Sidney Moorer remains jailed at J. Reuben Long Detention Center. For safety and security reasons, Tammy Moorer was moved to Georgetown County Detention Center.
