More DEFRA costs for MRF Operators. £2,240 + additional paperwork. Are new regulation standards really necessary? RTS waste use Crossways Recycling Material Recovery Facility and already has excellent recycling rates for quality of output for dry recycled material such as paper and cardboard. Wouldnt it be better use of funds if the £2,240 was used to invest in improving the technology we use. The £2,240 is only the start as there will be more forms to be completed and more time checking daily. The work force could better employed in improving the recycling and maintaining higher % rates. RTS are fully behind high quality recycle products and have a mission to reach zero landfill, but please DEFRA do not keep putting more obstacles in our way of doing our job.
