More Fire Rehabilitation: Another volunteer tree planting opportunity coming soon... Saturday, April 19 along the 501 corridor between Pajarito Trail head and Canyon de Valle. Park at either trail head. Start time is 0900 and stay as long as you like. We have only 2,000 trees, so it should go fast. The YCC will be doing their field test as well that day while planting. These are not high altitude adapted seedlings so the Pajarito Ski area is too high. This is part of a much larger tree planting contract that will include areas west of the 501 corridor and around American Springs. If interested, send an email to either Craig or [email protected]. If you are interested in planting, come at 0900 with boots, long pants, long sleeved shirt, gloves, sunglasses. Hard hat, tools, and trees will be provided. It would be helpful if you brought your own planting bag, such as a large garbage bag. Your hours will count towards paying the youth contract for the Guaje Ridge Trail reconstruction project coming in May.
