More Kingman news.... the new 99 cent store that opened across from the old safeway also carries a buttload of vegetables frozen foods and yogurts according to the home depot man greek yogurt for 59 cents a cup..... the guy from home depot told me to go check the place out which i will. also in other news i freaking love smith... smith rocks. i have to watch every penny i spend and smith freaking rocks. they had half marked down deals on meat again today. they got this bin in the meat section when you get closer to the sausages in that area. steaks, pork chops, pork roasts, bacon, ground beef and chicken. they have an orange sticker on them saying managers special. buy it and freeze it. also at smith goose island micro brew sampler package beer... 12 bottles for 6.99 close out special. they have those stacked in front of the registers. regular price 15.99 a pack. some of the fish was marked with managers special stickers as way tilapia and salmon and pre-seasoned fish filet etc. if you go further down the isle past the meat department in the area where they have the milk etc there is a cooler in front of the milk and oj etc. it is usually filled with all sorts of goods. at the very end of the cooler is a small bin and it has tons of marked down stuff in there including things from the deli like end pieces of cheese or turkey breast etc. it was filled today with carved lunch meats for a 159 a pack pr was ot 1.39???? something like that it was dirt cheap... from oscar meyer i believe. they also had lunchables in there and canadian bacon etc. a few weeks ago i score odds and ends of cheese for 99 cents for a fairly big chunk. buy the lunch meat and throw it in the freeze when it is close to expiration dates and use as needed or even package it in smaller portions before you freeze it. that is the only way to save money on food.
